These terms of use apply to your use of the myfuture website (myfuture). By using myfuture, you agree to be bound by these terms of use. If you do not agree to these terms of use, you must not use the website.

myfuture:

  • provides general information about career options;
  • is a guide only; and
  • does not make any recommendations or provide advice in relation to career options.

Before making any decisions about your career, you should contact relevant educational institutions or professional or trade organisations for specific information relating to your career options/choices.

myfuture content

myfuture comprises:

  • trade marks owned by third parties and licensed to ESA;
  • other material which is subject to intellectual property rights and which is either owned by ESA or a third party; and
  • visual interfaces, graphics, design, computer code (including source code or object code), software and other elements of myfuture.

Use of ESA material

Unless indicated otherwise, you may use all ESA material for personal non-commercial educational purposes, provided all acknowledgements are retained.

Use of visual interfaces, graphics, design, computer code

You may only use the visual interfaces, graphics, design, computer code, software and other elements of myfuture within the intended functionality provided by myfuture.

You must not infringe the intellectual property rights of ESA or third parties, that is, you must not do anything that is not permitted under either these terms of use. For example: you may not reproduce, adapt, upload to a third party website, link to, frame, perform in public, distribute or transmit in any form by any process any of the Material.

Licence fees not payable to Copyright Agency

Schools, education bodies and other educational organisations are not required to pay licence fees to the Copyright Agency Limited for non-commercial educational use of copyright material on myfuture, unless indicated otherwise.

Mentoring

To assist in your use of myfuture, you may ask a person you know and trust (for example a career guidance counsellor from your school, a teacher, a parent or a friend) to be your mentor. If you give your mentor your username and password, this will enable your mentor to access the information you provide to myfuture, but ESA cannot control how your mentor uses your information. ESA does not accept any responsibility for unauthorised use of your information by your mentor or be liable for any damages or expenses suffered by you because of your participation in a mentoring program.

Disclaimer and liability

The material on myfuture is provided for your information only and you are responsible for ensuring that the material is current, complete and accurate before using it.

ESA has compiled the material on myfuture in good faith and has endeavoured to ensure that all material is accurate and does not breach any entity’s rights at the time of its inclusion. However, the material may contain unintentional errors and is provided ‘as is’. The views expressed within myfuture do not necessarily represent the views of ESA.

To the extent lawful, ESA:

  • excludes all warranties in respect of the website and its content;
  • is not liable for any loss or damage however caused resulting from the use or inability to use the website or caused to your computer or any other property as a result of your use of myfuture; and
  • will not be liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use the website or any content available on it.

You acknowledge and agree that your access to and use of, myfuture is at your own risk.

Where liability cannot be excluded, the entire liability of ESA and your exclusive remedy, is resupply of the website and/or its content.

Security

This website uses the internet to provide services and information. By using myfuture you acknowledge and agree to accept all risks associated with using the internet, including potential exposure to harmful code which may affect your device.

ESA does not warrant or guarantee the security of myfuture. You are responsible for the security of your device including the data stored on it and for ensuring that your device has up-to-date software to detect and manage the threat posed by harmful code.

Variation of terms of use

ESA may vary these terms of use without notice. It is your responsibility to regularly check these terms of use to ensure that you are aware of its current form. Your continued use of myfuture indicates your acceptance of any changes to the terms of use.

General

If any material provided by you (including your email address) is deemed unsuitable by ESA, whether because of a failure to comply with these terms of use or because ESA considers it inappropriate or offensive, ESA may remove the material from its databases without notice.

These terms of use are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
