The National Career Information Service

Dear student,

As you settle back into a school routine, myfuture, your National Career Information Service, would like to let you know about tools and resources available to help you explore career options and occupations that may interest you.

What is a ‘career’?

You might hear the word ‘career’ and automatically think about a particular job, however it’s important to understand what a career actually means and how to develop the skills and experience to build one.

Videos – Making good career decisions

Watch a series of animated videos that explore the skills you’ll use when making decisions. Developing these skills will help you make more informed choices for your career.

My career profile

Complete the activities in My Career Profile. This interactive career tool will help you to identify your interests, values and skills and will provide you with a list of suggested occupations to explore.

Career Bullseyes

Discover occupations that relate to your favourite school learning areas. These interactive bullseyes display the level of education required for each occupation and link to a full occupational profile, which provides details about the role, courses related to the occupation and salary information.

We hope you enjoy exploring all the features on myfuture.

Kind regards,

---------------
