The National Career Information Service

Dear student,

myfuture, the National Career Information Service, encourages you – as a senior secondary student – to explore post-school pathways, occupations and career possibilities.

My career profile

Learn more about yourself and occupations that may suit you by completing the activities in My career profile, myfuture’s career exploration tool. Identify your interests, skills, values and more to receive a results summary and a list of suggested occupations to explore, including links to related courses and job prospects.

Search for courses

myfuture lists over 15,000 Australian courses for you to explore, ranging from vocational education and training (VET) courses to university degrees. If you find a course you’re interested in, add it to your favourites by selecting the star button on the course profile page, as a reminder for future course selections.

Explore pathways

There are many pathways beyond school that may help you achieve your career goals. You may want to start an apprenticeship, undertake a certificate or diploma course, study at university, or even work or volunteer.

Queensland Health – Choose your own health career

Queensland Health has been working with a stakeholder group to support students entering health careers, with a particular focus on careers that can be achieved with vocational education and training (VET). Take a look at the website they’ve developed, which highlights the many opportunities available within the health sector, from entry-level roles to more senior roles accessible through VET.
