iEntrepreneur
The Department of Education – Senior Pathways has engaged with facilitators to deliver the iEntrepreneur project in Term 4. This two-day workshop encourages teams of students to create opportunities to learn by planning and collaborating.
Students will experience the values and benefits of entrepreneurial learning, design thinking, risk taking and innovation, and will develop entrepreneurial skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Expressions of interest close Friday 23 August.
Transition Adviser Training
Held annually in Term 4, schools that have identified a teacher to participate in the Transition Adviser Training will need to complete an expression of interest.
Transition Advisers collaborate with local community, industry organisations and government agencies to deliver innovative, engaging programs that meet the needs and aspirations of schools’ identified groups of students. The Transition Adviser and Careers Adviser roles are complementary and would form the basis of a School to Work team for each school.
Student Pathways Plan
The Student Pathways Plan (SPP) enables students to identify essential career self-management actions and planning skills. The program utilises student voice to inform individual career conversations. The evidence-based data allows students to analyse their responses and provides guidance on accessing career advice.
School staff can also view student responses to assist students with their career development.
National Skills Week – 26 August – 1 September 2019
National Skills Week is the focal point for the promotion of Australia’s vocational education and training (VET) sector. Each year the week continues to celebrate and inform students and the wider public of the diversity and career pathways available through VET.
