Explore occupations with My career profile

By completing the activities in My career profile to help identify their interests, values and skills, your child can develop self-knowledge for career decision-making and generate a personalised list of suggested occupations to explore.

Research education and training pathways

You and your child can search over 15,000 current higher education and vocational education and training (VET) courses delivered by Australian universities, TAFEs and Registered Training Organisations.

You can also learn more about apprenticeships and VET, which offer nationally recognised qualifications and pathways to many trades and other occupations.

If your child is exploring post-school study options, encourage them to research institutions, courses, entry requirements and pathways, and to consider attending upcoming open days. These resources can help them get started:

National Skills Week: 24 - 30 August

National Skills Week showcases the diversity of opportunities, pathways and careers available through vocational education and training (VET) and explores the importance of trades, skills and VET in today's society. The program includes events that may interest students, as well as some for parents.
